In my last video about the CoCo 3, I went through the exercises necessary to generate each error message listed in the Appendix of the CoCo 3 Extended BASIC Reference Guide. It turns out, there are two more error messages, both of which were added by Extended BASIC before the CoCo 3's time.
UF Error is not listed in any appendix in any of the manuals I could find in my collection or on the Color Computer Archive (CoCo 1/2 Extended, Disk Extended 1.0, CoCo 3 Extended, or Disk Extended 1.1). However, it can be found in the section of the Extended BASIC guide outlining how to use User Defined Functions. In the CoCo 3 Extended BASIC manual, that's page 205.
NE Error (which is usually associated with Disk BASIC and appears in that manual) appears to have been used on non-disk systems with the DLOAD command. It was added in Extended BASIC for the CoCo 1/2 and then removed for CoCo 3 Super Extended BASIC. However, the hook still for NE Error still exists, and you can generate it without a disk controller present, even on the CoCo 3.
In addition, I take a look at a couple of neat strings found in the CoCo 3's ROM and theorize as to why they are present.
Please note this information is based on my exploration (and foggy memory) and may be incomplete. If there's a way to (legitimately) generate an NE error on a CoCo 3 (without a disk controller or DriveWire attached), I'd be interested to hear it.
