What's up Geekly Goods fam! 👀 Here are three things we've learned about Coco 2 after D23, and this one has us feeling a lot of emotions already.
Number one, Miguel is going to reunite with Mama Coco in the Land of the Dead, and honestly, just seeing that concept art alone is such an emotional image to start us off with. Number two, Ernesto de la Cruz is officially back, and while it wasn't entirely clear why at first, it turns out he's returning fully driven by revenge after his fraudulent legacy was destroyed at the end of the first film. Benjamin Bratt himself joked on stage, "Can't wait to bring my character back to life... or rather, back to death." Number three, Ernesto's return is exactly what pulls Miguel, now a teenager, back into the Land of the Dead in the first place, forcing him to team up with the very man who once betrayed his family.
