I’m Elisabetta, an Italian watercolor artist with a passion and a curiosity for art supplies and pigments.
Today I am ending the exploration of the cobalt watercolor family with the last chapter of this series: Cobalt Violets, including paints that use PV14, PV49 and some hues. I love Cobalt Violets and you?
I will be swatching and comparing paints by Daniel Smith, Winsor and Newton, Schminke, Rembrandt, M.Graham, Lukas, Old Holland, and others.
I will also compare these Cobalt Violets in a sky background, as clouds.
ERRATA CORRIGE: I mentioned PR 112 as fugitive, but actually it’s a very lightfast version of Naphtol Red! Sorry!
