The UN and governments around the world now regularly use the term “New Urbanism”. Moreover, new urbanists are active and practicing in numerous countries and continents. Yet the CNU has largely remained a US-centered organization. How can we do a better job "thinking globally while acting locally” and making new urbanism a truly international movement? We will examine the issue with representatives of ICLEI, the Council for Canadian Urbanism, the Council for European Urbanism, INTBAU, and other international allies.
