With an NC-Tailstock, the tailstock sleeve is advanced and retracted by a ballscrew which allows a workpiece clamping range of 170mm. The tailstock does not have to be adjusted to the workpiece length by the operator, even with different workpiece lengths.
The feed rate, clamping position, and clamping force of the workpiece support are set easily via the OSP control.
