Our Founder and CEO Dr. Tony Han was on CNBC this week to speak about WeRide's Q3 earnings and our path towards profitability, in a conversation with Elaine Yu and Mandy Drury.
He highlighted our strong financial results:
- Quarterly revenue up 144.3% YoY
- 32.9% gross margin
- #Robotaxi revenue grew by about 7x YoY
- Product and service revenue up about 428% and 66% respectively
- Steadily moving towards profitability
On global expansion, Tony shared that WeRide's vehicles now hold driverless permits across eight countries, with additional markets under consideration, where there are strong local partnerships and regulatory support.
He also highlighted our latest milestone in Abu Dhabi: passengers can now hail a fully driverless commercial WeRide Robotaxi via the Uber app — the first city outside the U.S. with fully driverless operations on Uber’s platform.
On scaling safely, Tony explained that WeRide combines a Waymo-style L4 Robotaxi system with a Tesla-style ADAS approach with WePilot 3.0, enabling reliable operations across diverse environments. With over 2,200 days of autonomous operations, we have maintained a strong safety record while expanding globally.
