Ben | CMCT 2 GRAND FINALS: Rush vs Impakt on Rain Eater and Twisted Ruins @iPodBen | Uploaded 4 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
gg Impakt
Rain Eater starts at 1:52, Twisted Ruins starts at 33:22.
First I would like to say this whole tournament seemed to be building to grand finals between us and Impakt. We seemed to win about 50% of scrims against them, and it seemed like our skill levels were pretty similar. Impakt was the only team the whole tournament we lost more than 1 scrim to.
For Rain Eater our strat was to dual rush 1st (Oc) and 3rd (Paul) while I solo ran resources. We were hoping either Impakt wouldn't notice one of our rushes, or they would be so focused on stopping one rush that the other rush would be successful. Aus would cannon out the base area above 3rd to give Paul cover running it, and also diag cannon diamonds from there.
On Twisted Ruins the strat was to completely skip 2nd resources and instead dual run 1st resources with Paul and I to blitz them and get iron, diamonds, tnt, and enchanting out super quickly. If we were quick enough we could get out tnt fast enough to cannon their diamonds in 1st resources and also potion supplies in 2nd resources. Once resources were out we would almost entirely focus on running wools just trying to outpace, with no real lockdowns planned. Since we didn't have a lockdown plan and PvP is so important on Twisted Ruins, we subbed out Aus for Cam.
