Welcome to Clue 4 of the Mohair Mobile Shawl! It’s time to add a beautiful border to the shawl with cables and a mohair mesh section.

Mesh 1 - CC1
02:11 Row 1 (RS): Using MC, (k3, sl3 sts onto left needle) 9 times.
02:55 Using 1 strand of CC1, (k3, sl3 sts onto left needle) 12 times, k3.
04:13 Pick up and k12 sts along the I-cord edge.
05:17 Cross CC over MC.
05:33 Using MC, (pick up and k3, m1) 3 times along the I-cord edge,
06:55 pick up and k1, sl1 wyif (1 stitch from the Section 2 live sts). 29 sts. Turn to work WS.
07:32 Row 2 (WS): k2tog, p12, cross MC over CC. Using CC1, p12, sl3 wyif.
09:28 Row 3 (RS): Using CC1, k3, (yo, k2tog) 6 times. Cross CC1 over MC.
11:07 Using MC, yo, k10. Turn to work WS.
12:20 Row 4 (WS): Sl1 wyif, place yarn on top of right needle and pull downward to reveal 2 strands of yarn on the right needle,
12:35 bring yarn forward, p9. k1, bring yarn forward, cross MC over CC1. Using CC1, p12, sl3 wyif.
14:20 Row 5 (RS): Using CC1, k3, (yo, k2tog) 6 times. Cross CC1 over MC. Using MC, yo, k9. Turn to work WS.
15:35 Row 6 (WS): Sl1 wyif, place yarn on top of right needle and pull downward to reveal 2 strands of yarn on the right needle,
15:56 bring yarn forward, p7, k2, bring yarn forward, cross MC over CC1. Using CC1, p12, sl3 wyif.
17:06 Row 7 (RS): Using CC1, k3, (yo, k2tog) 6 times. Cross CC1 over MC.
17:44 Using MC, yo, k8. Turn to work WS.
18:05 Row 8 (WS): Sl1 wyif, place yarn on top of right needle and pull downward to reveal 2 strands of yarn on the right needle,
18:22 bring yarn forward, p5, k3, bring yarn forward, cross MC over CC1. Using CC1, p12, sl3 wyif.

20:14 Row 23 (RS): Using CC1, k3, (yo, k2tog) 6 times. Turn to work WS.
20:48 Row 24 (WS): Sl1 wyif, p11, sl3 wyif.
21:23 Row 25 (RS): Using CC1, (k2, ssk, sl3 sts onto left needle) 11 times,
24:00 k2, ssk. Cross CC1 over MC.
24:18 Using MC, yo, (k1, k1 while closing the short row gap) 10 times, k2, sl2 wyif. Turn to work WS.
26:28 Row 26 (WS): K2tog, p12. Using CC2, p10, k1/p1 into yo, sl3 wyif. 28 sts.

28:51 Place a split ring marker after the next 12 live sts from Section 2. This will help you keep track of the next 12 sts that are knitted together with your Border during the next Mesh section.

33:25 Using CC, p12, sl3 wyif. 29 sts.
33:52 Row 3 (RS): Using CC, k3, (yo, k2tog) 6 times. Cross CC over MC.
34:30 Using MC, yo, k13, sl2 wyif. Turn to work WS. 31 sts.
35:15 Row 4 (WS): K2tog, p12, k2, bring yarn forward. Cross MC over CC.
36:00 Using CC, p12, sl3 wyif. 30 sts.

37:40 Using MC, yo, k8, C8B, sl2 wyif. Turn to work WS. 34 sts.
38:43 Row 10 (WS): K2tog, p12, k5, bring yarn forward. Cross MC over CC. Using CC, p12, sl3 wyif. 33 sts.

40:58 Row 23 (RS): Using CC, (k2, ssk, sl3 sts onto left needle) 11 times,
41:50 Cross CC over MC. Break CC.
42:09 Using MC, yo, k23, sl2 wyif. Turn to work WS. 29 sts.
43:22 Row 24 (WS): K2tog, p12. Using next CC, p12, sl3 wyif. 28 sts.

44:32 The split ring marker should now be after the 28 border sts. Remove this split ring marker and place it after the next 12 live sts from Section 2.

56:33 Mesh 27 - CC2

Mesh 28 - CC3
1:07:05 Row 1 (RS): Using CC3, k3, (yo, k2tog) 6 times. Cross CC3 over MC.
1:07:37 Using MC, yo, C8F, k4. Turn to work WS.
1:08:43 Row 2 (WS): Sl1 wyif, place yarn on top of right needle and pull downward to reveal 2 strands of yarn on the right needle,
1:08:52 bring yarn forward, p11, k1, bring yarn forward, cross MC over CC3. Using CC3, p12, sl3 wyif.

1:10:47 Row 23 (RS): Using CC3, (k2, ssk, sl3 sts onto left needle) 11 times, k2, ssk. Cross CC3 over MC. Break CC3.
1:11:40 Sl3 sts onto left needle. Using MC, k2, ssk, sl3 sts onto left needle,
1:12:05 (k2, ssk, sl3 sts onto left needle, k2, ssk while closing the short row gap, sl3 sts onto left needle) until 6 final sts remain.
1:15:01 There should be 3 sts on the right needle and 3 sts on the left needle.
1:15:05 Break yarn leaving an 8" / 20cm tail. Place the first 3 sts onto your right needle and the last 3 sts onto your left needle with the purl bumps facing each other and both needles pointing to the right. Graft the remaining 6 sts together.
