Founded in the fall of 2013, the triathlon team is student-run club team and is predominantly made up of undergraduate students.

They train year-round, typically with two to three practices for each discipline of the triathlon and one strength training session per week. The sprint distance is the team's primary focus, though they also compete in Olympic distance events, half Ironmans (70.3), duathlons, and relays.

Their athletes have gone on to compete in Ironman races and the ITU World Triathlon Series.
