Media Watch | Cloris Leachman on Letterman 1980 @Bob9961 | Uploaded April 2018 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Cloris Leachman appeared on David Letterman's daytime television show in 1980.
Cloris said she lived on an acreage at 5017 Hubbell, 3 miles east of Des Moines, Altoona being just up the road. Her Dad worked at the Leachman Lumber company, and their house was built from napkin plans that showed brown shingles and a chimney in front. She left that place for Northwestern when she was 18.
She reminisced at some length back in 1980 as a guest Letterman's daytime show, shot on-location in Cresco. Correspondent Rich Hall was a contributor.
