In this episode of The Melanated Files (MFiles) we introduce Dr. Thomas Taban Akot, a South Sudanese medical doctor living in Busan, South Korea. Dr. Akot has been living in South Korea for almost a decade and has an inspiring story of hope, charity and perseverance. Dr. Akot may be one of the only two black doctors living and working in homogeneous South Korea. Consequently, his experience is very unique and his journey to this point a fascinating one.
