It's been three years since we began our herping quest, at the magical place in N. Utah that we've dubbed Gopher Gulch. We've finally been able to pair two visual aberrants and the entire clutch inherited the trait! We still have more to do to prove exactly how this trait is inherited.
We invite Clint to join us for hatching season in a couple of weeks and we get his thoughts, as a biologist and zoologist, as to how mother nature has been accomplishing what any captive breeder would love to accomplish. Possible this mutation has been naturally selecting for 1000 years??
