There are many dangers in the mountains, such as avalanches, extreme cold, and the possibility of falling into an abyss. However, I'm sure that during the ascent, climbers go through some tests that are way scarier and more eerie than all of the above. The proof can be found in the disaster that happened to Levin's group on Mount Elbrus in 1990.
