Weather extremes have increased 5 times over the past 50 years. Countries and communities who contributed the least to the climate crisis are already suffering severe losses of and damages to lives, livelihoods and harvests caused by more frequent and severe climate events such as cyclones, floods, droughts and heatwaves.
