Berlin Climate and Security Conference (BCSC) 2022 addressed climate impacts on peace and stability and its interlinkages with current geopolitical challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, trade and energy security and the looming food crisis. From 11- 12 October, the in-person segment brought together high-Level political actors, climate security experts, international organisations and practitioners.
The Climate for Peace Initiative, which was launched during “BCSC 2022”, promotes, coordinates and advances concrete projects on the ground to address the gap between strong political rhetoric and action, further the progress generated by current joint initiatives and ensures climate security is a local and national priority.
