After seeing this place in Sure Cliffs 2.0 i decided i HAD to hit this place up. There was just something about the crystal clear, emerald green water and white marble cliffs ranging from 5-60 feet that pulled me in.
Anyways we took a trip up with a friend and fellow Youtuber CullenMchale and had an EPIC day. (Go check his channel out. He has some sick cliff jumping edits in there - youtube.com/user/CullenMcHale) We hung out with the owner of the quarry and hucked some crazy ass flips till the sun went down.
The Astore Quarry and the surrounding land is the remnants of an old marble quarry. The owner of the quarry has been diligently working on a restoration project dedicated to preserving this invaluable piece of history and protecting the native wildlife. The quarry is actually closed to the public, we were just lucky enough to get a grand tour by the owner himself, Chick Astore.
