Learn how to safely clean up the Windows Component Store using built-in DISM commands. In this video, we analyze the Component Store, run the standard cleanup, use the deeper ResetBase cleanup, and analyze it again to check the results.

Commands
👉DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /AnalyzeComponentstore
👉DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
👉DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

These commands can help remove superseded Windows component files and potentially recover some disk space without using third-party cleaner software.

⚠️ Important: The /ResetBase option should be used carefully because after it is completed, previously installed Windows updates included in the baseline can no longer be uninstalled.
