In today’s episode of Reshoevn8r Shoe Care Academy, Vick Almighty walks you step-by-step through the best way to bring a pair of beat black Converse Chuck Taylors back to life. Chuck Taylors are a classic sneaker, but their white rubber midsoles can get dirty fast. Luckily, with the right tools and techniques, you can restore them without damaging the materials.
Vick starts the process by removing the shoelaces and insoles so each part of the shoe can be cleaned properly. From there, he dry brushes the sneakers to knock off loose dirt, dust, and debris before introducing any water or cleaning solution. This important step helps prevent rubbing dirt deeper into the canvas during the cleaning process.
Next, Vick adds two squirts of Reshoevn8r Cleaning Solution into a bowl of water and begins the deep clean using the Soft Bristle Brush. The soft brush is perfect for tackling the canvas uppers, breaking down dirt and stains while staying gentle on the material.
