Per Kristina Andrews,
My husband, Clay Andrews, battled depression and addiction for most of his life—a struggle that also led to repeated incarceration. In December 2024, while imprisoned in a private facility, he was tragically killed.
To honor Clay, his story, and his deep desire to use his gifts to help others,we are releasing his song, Lord, Take My Hand. My hope and prayer are that through this release, we can shed light on the pain and suffering endured by so many, just like my husband.
Dr. Gabor Maté, an internationally renowned expert on addiction, emphasizes that addiction is merely a symptom—at its core, it stems from deep, unresolved pain. As an alcohol and drug addiction counselor, I witness this truth every day. Yet, as a society, we often attempt to punish the pain out of people. Incarceration, however, rarely heals; more often, it deepens wounds.
We must do better. And we can.
