Claudia's Letter
letter, purportedly written in Latin by Pilate's wife from "a little Gallic mountain town" several years after Pilate left Jerusalem, was first published in 1865 in Slovenian in the Catholic journal Kmetijske in rokodelske novice, volume 23, number 15, pages 117-120. It says it was translated from French by Luiza Pesjak, Slovene writer, poet and translator.
