Friday, February 1, 2024 - This First Chapter Friday video contains something I’ve never done before… a story and resource from another educational content creator! Have you heard of Classroom Cereal? My friend, Chris Slavin, believes that the BEST part of the school day is spent falling into a story. He figured if he could hook kids with a good enough story, he could teach them anything… even things students don’t typically love, like grammar and fluency and reading comprehension. Trust me when I say he has accomplished his goal with his highly entertaining Classroom Cereal series.
In this sample story from the series, four friends meet at their secret hideout nestled in the wood surrounding their town’s abandoned amusement park, but unfortunately, things don’t quite work out the way they planned.
