Read description! This may be a bit confusing to understand but I'll try to explain it as clear as possible.
If you didn't know, re5 has two mercenaries modes; classic mercenaries and the mercenaries reunion. Both have different scoring systems; you get a good score in classic mercenaries if your remaining time is high (150 combo doesn't give too many points, in most maps it's around 150k, and each second adds 1000 points), whereas Reunion gives you more points for a full combo with bosses killed at the end, and time doesn't give you as many points as in classic mercenaries (only 300 points for each second).
Also, it's possible to play (in PC) with reunion characters in classic mercs, and viceversa. But Chris Heavy Metal's weapons (stun rod & gatling gun) are stronger in classic mercenaries, so they're kinda broken and you can't setup melee kills with the stun rod, that's why I didn't play classic mercs with him (and I truly wanted to), it'd be unfair.
I tried replacing every mercenaries reunion PA files with classic mercenaries files (enemies, behaviour, timers, bosses, etc), and it worked, so with this mercenaries reunion mode (public assembly) is perfectly equal to classic mercs mode.
So basically this video is a run played in Classic Mercenaries using HM Chris, only different thing is that the score obtained is not what I would get if I played classic mercs (since I selected reunion).
Doing a simple calculation, the true score would be:
143970 (149 combo, obtained using mercs guide)
+ 60800 (score before ending the run + 300 of last majini)
+ 650000 (remaining time, 650 seconds x 1000)
= 854770 (approximately)
I did this because I was curious of how high could be the remaining time in classic mercs using HM Chris, one of the best characters in reunion. Maybe I'll try this in all classic levels.
Resident Evil 5 PC Steam 60fps
"The Mercenaries (Classic)" Solo
Public Assembly
757k ("true score: 854k" *read description*) - 149 Combo
