Rebuilding a classic car interior door panel with the upper metal piece stapled to the bottom pressboard panel. Tools, materials and Lakeside Merch below:
💥 New Door Panel (w/o metal attached) - Kennedy American - kennedyamerican.com To my knowledge none of the companies make a complete panel with new meta stapled on. You have to use your old metal top piece.
💥 Glue - 3M 8061 - Plastic and Emblem Adhesive or sometimes called Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive.
💥 Die Grinder - MAC Mini Die Grinder w/ Harbor Freight 3" x 1/16" cut off wheel
💥 Small Grinder - Astro Pneumatic 5" High-Speed Sander (222S)
💥 Red Sander - National Detroit DAQ w/ 5" pad
💥 Clamps - Irwin 18 In. Locking Clamp Regular Tip or similar - We were using Vise Grip but not sure if they are still made.
💥 Heat Gun - Harbor Freight - WARRIOR 1500 Watt, 11 Amp Dual-Temperature Heat Gun
