Tonight we continue our Monday Night Adventure with Prop Job and its journey around the world in one of aviation’s greatest classics — the mighty Douglas DC-6.
After surviving the mountains of Lesotho, our second challenge takes us to the Caribbean. Departing Punta Cana, we head east with stops at San Juan, Puerto Rico and Princess Juliana, St Maarten, before attempting one of the toughest landings in the world — Saint Barthélemy Airport.
With its extremely short runway, steep approach, nearby road traffic, surrounding terrain, and special authorisation required for real-world operations, St Barthélemy is regularly ranked among the world’s most dangerous airports.
Naturally... we’re taking a four-engine propliner there.
