What lessons can we learn from socialist history and theory for our contemporary conjuncture? Join Robin D.G. Kelley, Sarah Jaffe, and Asad Haider for a discussion on lessons we can learn from the past for organizing today.

Robin D. G. Kelley is the Gary B. Nash Endowed Chair of U.S. History at UCLA, and author of several books, including Freedom Dreams: The Black Radical Imagination and Hammer and Hoe: Alabama Communists During the Great Depression.

Sarah Jaffe is a reporting fellow at Type Media Center and the author of Necessary Trouble: Americans in Revolt and the forthcoming Work Won't Love You Back.

Asad Haider is the author of Mistaken Identity: Race and Class in the Age of Trump and a founding editor of Viewpoint Magazine.
