Okay, for those who can't figue out what's happening in the beginning, and why I was so pissed off, we were having a major sound fail. For some unknown reason, they would NOT let me do a sound check, although almost everybody else was allowed to. The retarded sound tech in the hat tried to mic my amp. The amp blew that $400 mic in no time, and get this, they wanted US to pay for it. The original plan was that I was going to be feeding my signal directly into their sound boards, as well as my backing track, and the "professionals" would mix me. We were going to do a sound check to make sure everything was balanced. Yeeeaaah. Thanks to that sound check that never happened, I couldn't hear my backing track correctly from the stage monitors, and seeing that I could only hear the drums due to an overwhelming treble boost, I thought it was my track from the auditions and told them to restart. Thanks a freaking lot morons. And then after we finally got going, apparently the backing track was way too powerful in the crowd. And I don't know about you guys, but I don't hear my bass pretty much at all in Sweet Child O' Mine. Lesson learned - use your own freakin' gear. I think I'll reshoot this in my room how it was SUPPOSED to be.
Again, thanks to everybody who came out there to support me. You guys have no idea how much it meant to have so many people there JUST FOR me. I'm just sorry it wasn't better planned on the techs' parts.
