The Clark Veterans Cemetery just outside the new Clark International Airport in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines. The 100 km milestone marks the end of the Death March where US and Filipino troops were marched from the tip of the Bataan Peninsula after the fall of Corregidor to near this site where a POW camp stood. Those that made it lived several years of hell under the Imperial Japanese Military before liberation came in 1945. Seen in the montage is a marble monument that took hits in the Battle of Manila which stands on the site along with the headstones of numerous American and Filipino veterans and civilians who lost their lives in war and thereafter. We pay our respects here to the fallen who liberated The Philippines from the cruel occupation by the forces of the Empire of Japan.
