They didn't have much in terms of scenes together in S5 compared to S4, so this is what I consider to be a collection of their most important, developmental relationship moments. Granted, they went out of their way to not so subtly hint at their future (see the scenes in 5x04/5x21 where they're unknowingly referring to themselves being the other's "someday"), but I feel like they dialed back on them to make more room for Clana and the Clark/Lana/Lex love triangle that it devolved into...which was a literal mess with a capital M.
