So Patti and I decided to try out a new river (to us) in PA called the Clarion River. It boarders the southern edge of the Allegheny National Forest so primitive camping riverside is allowed along the NF banks. We camped for 4 days and 3 nights and paddled about 27 miles. The ridgeway gauge read 3.2 the entire trip, and because this trip took place in early June, the temps were a little cooler 70's and 40's.
On this day we had a broken paddle, ran the Trestle Rapids, and found Snake-Den-Campground to sleep for the night! Twas a fun day, and we hope you enjoy watching our experience! Stay tuned for day 2!
