Last week, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made history at The Game Awards 2025 as it took 9 awards home, the most any single game has ever achieved at the event. Unsurprisingly, that's led to a lot of people debating the quality of the game and if it's overhyped or just genuinely THAT good. Since I missed my chance to originally talk about it, I figured now was the best time possible to jump in and give my (spoiler-free) thoughts as to why I think the game (and Sandfall Interactive) deserve EVERY accolade they're getting and that the hate it's getting is incredibly forced.
