A new journey starts today. I want these songs to actually tell full stories with unique effects, twists and turns. I don’t want to repeat a chorus simply for the sake of repeating a chorus but instead have the song change as the story progresses, and because of that I think you’re going to be hearing some of the most creative and highest effort things I’ve made. This song started as an image in my head of a girl, holding a sword, facing a dragon, with a town burning in the background. I tried to take that image and work backwards to create a story that builds all the way up to that moment and beyond. And I love that this song gives me goosebumps by the end almost every time I listen to it. I have many more stories I want to tell so I hope you’ll follow along with me as we read through this book!

I loved having had the chance to experiment with new styles while revisiting some sounds from my earlier works on this album. With each album I feel like my sound gets closer and closer to what I want it to be, and I feel excited to have discovered a few new styles that can serve as a foundation for songs on the next album! Plus, releasing two songs in one day might just be a personal record.
