This was one of the most technically challenging songs I’ve made with a ton of wild effects, styles, and tempo changes. When I eventually got around to writing the vocal the song ultimately turned into me trying to find a creative way to represent some of the darker inner dialog that can happen at times. I also used a lot of my vocal effects experimentation from Playhouse and had the pleasure of working with a real 12-person choir and two great vocalists to bring out the different characters and level of epicness the song needed.
