On June 1 at Kenwood Academy High School, Ken-David Masur leads the Civic Orchestra of Chicago in a program inspired by Italy's magnificent architecture and breathtaking landscapes. Respighi’s Fountains of Rome paints a Technicolor portrait of the Eternal City’s great fountains. Sibelius’ heroic Second Symphony, conceived in the rugged Italian village of Rapallo, rounds out a collaborative program with the Kenwood Academy High School Orchestra.
