This album is focused around cityscapes at various types of day in a chillhop genre. Chillhop is heavily focused on samples and splicing them up, but I try to avoid sampling in this album, unless where absolutely necessary.
I wanted this track to be a bit more simple, but remain bright in character, since I wanted it to be placed around mid-day in character. It's also one of the shorter pieces, but this was intentional since it is in the middle of the album. I also used the stereotypical pop-music key change technique of moving up half a step in a very abrupt manner. I prefer smooth and interesting modulations, but it served its purpose.
