This album is focused around cityscapes at various types of day in a chillhop genre. Chillhop is heavily focused on samples and splicing them up, but I try to avoid sampling in this album, unless where absolutely necessary.
I wrote this track to have two different themes going on within it as a way to sort of accentuate the bright ending theme. This track is also the first and probably only piece in the album that will contain a tempo change. I needed to simulate 'waking up.' I also use some bright sounding instruments, such as a harp, bright acoustic guitar that goes through some amps, and a very lo-fi flute.
