City of the Sun are a Brooklyn-based instrumental group whose music pulls from indie rock, Latin folk, blues, and global traditions to create expansive, cinematic compositions that feel both intimate and transportive. Led by guitarist John Pita alongside drummer Zach Para, bassist Matt Fasano, and guitarist Marco Bolfelli, the band has built an international following through emotionally resonant records and powerful live performances that connect across language and geography. Their latest album, “Under the Moon,” finds the band expanding their sound even further, blending surf rock, desert rock, Mediterranean influences, and their first vocal collaboration into a record shaped by grief, transformation, and renewal.
