A one-day digital and in-person experience celebrating the everyday heroes of San Francisco’s Historic Bayview neighborhood
YBCA presents City Is Alive, YBCA’s inaugural neighborhood commission to celebrate the everyday heroes of Bayview–Hunters Point in collaboration with YBCA artists-in-residence SF Urban Film Fest (SFUFF) and Bayview-based partners Imprint City and Young Community Developers. This one-day digital and in-person experience brings Imprint City’s signature annual event BayviewLIVE Festival online for the first time in tandem with neighborhood murals coming to life along Egbert Avenue, which you can experience in person in the Bayview, or online from wherever you are.
This year’s BayviewLIVE includes performances by 10 of the Bay Area’s most dynamic rappers: Footz da Beast, LB, Xpress, Kaly Jay, Dayones, San Quinn, Ajgod, So Vicious, Young Avii, and more. Join us in honoring and uplifting the neighborhood’s everyday heroes who have fought for resources and have brought joy to the Bayview.
City Is Alive is a YBCA inaugural neighborhood commission, which brings us into Bayview-Hunter’s Point in partnership with YBCA artists-in-residence SF Urban Film Fest (SFUFF) and Bayview-based partner organizations Imprint City and Young Community Developers through the creative power of Crux, an XR movement founded by and centering Black technologists.
