Since November 2024, when the roof of Novi Sad train station collapsed, killing 16 people, an unprecedented citizen movement has been organised in Serbia to oppose President Vučić's autocratic regime. As part of the work of the Balkan's Observatory at Fondation Jean-Jaurès, Vladan Đokić, rector of the University of Belgrade, discusses the demands made by the students behind this movement, which calls for respect for the rule of law, the fight against corruption, and the continuation of negotiations for the country's accession to the European Union.
