The One is a pop rock ballad from the mini-album Moments, composed by Oliver Zangl on behalf of Ritchie Newton. The song reflects on a relationship at a breaking point, where the protagonist (told from Ritchie Newtons perspective in first person.) grapples with regret over their actions that may have pushed their partner away. Despite the turmoil, thoughts of their loved one persistently occupy their mind. Entschlossen positioniert sich die Band gegen Rechtsextremismus, Krieg, religiösen Fundamentalismus, wirtschaftliche Machtstrukturen und politische Gleichgültigkeit. Gleichzeitig erzählen die Songs von Freundschaft, Freiheit und dem Mut, sich gegen Unrecht und gesellschaftliche Missstände zu erheben.

Musikalisch wie textlich ist „Wir Sind Der Widerstand!“ ein unmissverständlicher Aufruf, nicht länger wegzusehen. Die Edelweisspiraten fordern dazu auf, Haltung zu zeigen, Verantwortung zu übernehmen und gemeinsam für eine freiere und gerechtere Zukunft einzustehen. Nachdem die EP ursprünglich im Jahr 2023 veröffentlicht wurde, erfolgte im Sommer 2026 die Übernahme durch NRT-Records. Nun erscheint das Werk als exklusive und erweiterte

Die Edelweisspiraten formierten sich 2022 und erspielten sich mit Konzerten in Österreich, Deutschland und Tschechien schnell einen Namen. Zu den bisherigen Höhepunkten zählen ein Auftritt als Support von Stomper 98 in der ausverkauften Arena Wien sowie gemeinsame Shows mit Mullet Monster Mafia und The Judge Dread Memorial. 2023 veröffentlichte die Band ihre erste EP „Wir Sind Der Widerstand!“. *Über die Band:*
Die Enterbten stehen für energiegeladenen Neonpunk, eine stilistische Melange zwischen Art-Punk, New Wave und Alternative. Gegründet 2023 in Brühl, bringt die Band um Sängerin Michaela Ansey, Gitarrist Frank Hentschel, Bassist Mario Hoverath, Keyboarder Guido Rizzato und Schlagzeuger Ingo Dudda den Spirit von Punk und Neuer Deutscher Welle in die Gegenwart: kantig, tanzbar, melodisch und mit klarer Haltung. Inhaltlich kreisen ihre Songs um Selbstbestimmung, Sozialkritik und Satire — pointiert, bissig und ohne erhobenen Zeigefinger.
Schon kurz nach der Gründung sammelte die Band erste Live-Erfahrungen, darunter beim RheinKlang 669 Festival im Mai 2023 und beim 3. Brühler Kneipenfestival im September 2023. 2024 folgten weitere wichtige Auftritte, etwa als Support der Tanja Meyer Band in Köln sowie gemeinsam mit der Schwesterband Die Rockgören im Topos Leverkusen. 2025 bauten Die Enterbten ihre Bühnenpräsenz weiter aus — unter anderem beim Punk sei Dank Festival, bei einer Show mit THINK! im Gleis 11, beim RockStarter Festival in Herdecke und zum Jahresende beim Escalate Festival.
Nach der ersten offiziellen Single „Tick Tack“ führte der Weg 2026 schließlich zu NRT-Records. Mit der EP „Bock auf dieses Leben“ setzt die Band nun den nächsten Meilenstein und liefert einen starken Vorgeschmack auf ihr Debütalbum „Niemals zu spät“, das am 26. Juni 2026 erscheint.

* About Ritchie Newton and higher power *
Ritchie Newton (born December 7, 1964, in Straubing, Lower Bavaria) is a German musician, singer, and entertainer renowned in the heavy metal and hard rock scenes. He began his musical journey as a drummer in the marching band Spielmannszug Oberalteich. In 1983, he founded the heavy metal band Lucifer and released his first single, Pleasure of Life / Woman in Doubt, under the name Ritchie V in 1986.
In the late 1980s, Newton joined the hard rock band MASS and later formed the speed metal band Pussy Lover, touring across Europe. Alongside his music career, he established Ritchies Catering in 1992, cooking for artists like Fats Domino and Suzi Quatro. In 1994, he founded the biker band Georgia Molly Gang and released the Bavarian rock album Süchtig (Addicted) as Rocka Ritch in 1996.
After emigrating to Thailand in 1997, he became a successful Elvis tribute artist and appeared on the VOX reality show Goodbye Deutschland. As an author, Newton published books such as Rocksau (Rock Pig), Das Land der Liebeskasper (The Land of the Love Fools), and Die Angst ihn zu verlieren (The Fear of Losing Him), which tells the emotional story of his son Rino.
Ritchie Newton makes an impressive comeback with his new single Higher Power from the upcoming album of the same name. This powerful heavy metal track merges strong rock elements with a spiritual message of hope and resilience. The album Higher Power features guest musicians:
