To celebrate Harold Lloyd's birthday, we are delighted to share a brand-new Cinemoments clip from SAFETY LAST! A favourite of our Marketing Assistant, Jack Chase, this iconic sequence is the finale of the 1923 Fred C. Newmeyer and Sam Taylor–directed classic, as Harold climbs the 12-story Bolton building.
Featuring one of the most famous stunts in film history, this clip shows ‘The Boy’ climbing the department store in which he works as part of an elaborate publicity stunt in order to maintain the pretence to his visiting girlfriend that he has made a success of moving to the big city – and him kissing her as he finally reaches the top after a few heart-stopping moments!
