Jeff Hijlkema | Cinematic Scoring for Hybrid Orchestra @jeffhijlkema | Uploaded February 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Note: I first compiled a short movie out of a lot of free drone footage from pexels.com and then started scoring it. My goal was to give a wide, warm and diverse cinematic feel to the scenes.
I'm using Cubase pro and a lot of Spitfire Audio instruments.
Mixing with FabFilter and Wave plug-ins.
Spitfire Audio Instruments used:
- BBC Symphonic Orchestra (Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion)
- Albion One
- Albion Iceni
- Albion Tundra
- Glass and Steel
- Percussion Swarm
- Chrysalis Harp
- British Drama Toolkit
- Labs Peel Guitar
- Eric Whitacre Choir
- Olafur Arnalds Chamber Evolutions
Other instruments:
- Native: The Grandeur (grand piano) & The Gentleman (upright piano) & Mark 1( electric keys)
- Ventus: Bansuri & Ocarina & Tambura and Sitar
- Soniccouture: Psalter
Consider using your best pair of speakers or headphones to get the full spectrum experience.
I post new composed cinematic scoring content every few weeks.
