Andy had the chance to stop by the ZEISS booth at Cine Gear 2018 and get his hands on the exciting new line of full format cinema lenses from ZEISS: the Supreme Primes. As Rich Schleuning, Senior Director for the Americas at ZEISS, says in the video above, "We're on the cusp of something exciting... [full format] gives the filmmaker another creative tool, another choice." As we've covered previously, these new lenses from ZEISS provide many of the features DPs and focus pullers want to see in a "standard" set of cinema primes: common diamater fronts, focus rotation, gear positions, and size/weight across the bulk of the expanding 12-lens set.
