Meera Jatav, a journalist based in Uttar Pradesh in India came to London and the CIJ to deliver the annual Gavin MacFadyen memorial lecture. The co-founder of the award-winning, grassroots feminist media organisation Khabar Lahariya, Jatav has won a reputation for her courageous investigations into gender-based violence and caste in India.

Translating from Hindi will be Meera’s colleague Priyanka Kotamraju, from the University of Cambridge.
