A few drops of blood are being added to a high-concentration solution of hydrogen peroxide (30%). Hydrogen peroxide's foaming action is due to its reaction with the catalase enzyme found in blood. The catalase transforms Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into liquid water (H2O) and gaseous oxygen (O2), which is responsible for the foaming.
