AAAH my sweet sweet chair, how can I not vid them after the finale. And as my first vid in 2013 makes it even more special.

I remember like it was yesterday the first time I saw them together. I got into watching gossip girl because of my best friend who was obsessed with the show at the time and convinced me to give it a shot. I think it was around the time season 2 was starting. So I just sat down one day and started watching season 1 and I remeber not being too fond of it at first. That lasted, obviously 'till 1x07. After that I became a diehard chair shipper and I didn't like the characters only, but also the way they were portrayed. I loved Leighton and Ed in every single scene they did and my admiration for Ed's work grew constantly over the years. He just created one of the greatest characters I grew to like on television and I'll always remeber that.

The first 2 seasons were just pure perfection where those two are concerned. The way they found their way to one another was just epic. Personally I'm more a fan of the journey rather than the getting where you wanted to go part, which is why i didn't enjoy season 3 as much (even though editing this vid made me watch some of their scenes again and i might be changing my mind about that). Then again, the drama they had in season 4 and 5, brought to some of the most epic quotes i'll hold dear. I'm glad they got their happy ending and most of all I'm glad the show is over, cause in the end the storytelling wasn't as compelling as it was in the beginning and it felt just that writers were forcing some of the storylines to have room for one more season.

There's one thing I just need to get out and I know some of you might not agree with me right now, but I didn't like the way they ended dair at all. i mean, those two had a lot of build up (no one can say they didn't) but in like 5 minutes their relationship was over and dan didn't even get a tiny little explanation. I think that was a moment of lack of continuity in the storytelling and I still don't quite figure that out.I just said that to let you know, dair shipper (if any are watching this vid), that I get all the frustration you are all putting out there, but let's just be happy about having had the possibility to watch this beautiful show and let's all celebrate the fact it's over.

There's one thing I need to be thanking the show for. It got me into vidding on a regular basis. Before I just did random stuff from time to time, but then chair happened and I starting vidding them. I know it might seem weird reading this, since i think my last chair video is from 2011, but, well, since i'm randomly rambling here, I might just say everything that's on my mind right now LOL.
And there's one more thing to say: without this show I wouldn't have discovered some of the most talented girls out there who tribute the show and these two constantly. I remember how I used to be thrilled everytime a video of these ladies popped up in my sub box. Saying thanks to each and everyone one of those people might be a long list, so i'll just say thank you if you're a chair vidder, thank you if you vid gossip girl and every aspect of it, because you constantly amaze me a constantly inspire me.
