Oops I had a 10 minute PB that is good enough to be public on my channel. This speedrun had a few mistakes, but the overall play was decent enough that the luck I got allowed me to PB by 10 minutes. This route is a marathon safe Any% route, as the classic style route can lead to a random wipe on Lavos Core, the final boss fight. I have a certain level and equipment setup for Magus at the end of this run that guarantees he can survive Lavos Core's attacks.
Big highlights in this run:
- 6 Barrier Magus fight
- Ideal Lavos Core pattern that saved 1:40 off of my PB
- Very fast Rubble kills in the Mountain of Woe.
Note: I am currently the only person who runs the DS version of Chrono Trigger, so this is WR unless someone picks this game up and beats me. XD
Unfortunately, running against this will be a pain in the neck, and so I'm not going to run against this run for a while because sub 4 hours was my original goal time in this category.
