Christopher Paladino has served as the president of the New Brunswick Development Corporation (Devco) since 1994. Paladino, a native of North Brunswick and alumnus of Rutgers, reminisces about the vitality of the city center during its heyday. He discusses early redevelopment efforts led by Johnson & Johnson and implemented by Devco. Paladino relates the condition of Devco when he started there and delves into how the organization deals with different partners. He emphasizes the importance of the Parking Authority. More recently, Devco has been involved in the UMDNJ building Liberty Plaza, and Paladino explains how the project was funded. He talks about the transformation of the city and cites the Rockoff Hall dormitory as an example.
