I decided to make this after hearing of Christopher's cancer diagnosis. Get well soon Christopher, we can't wait to see you back out there fighting the good fight.
This is the third time I did this freaking drawing, the first two times there was a technical error in the recording process and so the whole middle part of the process was lost. So anyway, third time was pretty good, it started heading in a more cartoony direction than any of my previous portraits had ever done but I decided to just go with it and let it flow. I still think it came out fairly well but it's a goddamn tragedy that the first one was lost because it was by far and away probably the best portrait of anyone I've ever done and now it's lost out there in the aether. Oh well.
