Sing- Kayla Williams [original song]
I wrote this song a little while ago amidst some crazy life changes. Between 2017 and 2018 so much has happened personally and professionally. This song kind of covers all of that. A lesson Ive learned this year is that no one is responsible for your life or state of mind except for you. What you put your attention on is extremely important and totally within your control. Im still learning this but I think I found out only recently how to focus on what is good for me and what makes me happy. The most consistent thing that makes me happy is music and I finally dove into recording and releasing my own music these last couple years and have had some awesome opportunities present because of that.
This is my last video of 2018 and the last video in my home of about 10 years. Ill be moving on New Years and despite it not being planned or something I was expecting, I think this change could be a great thing! I am sad to leave here but maybe new music and inspiration will come out of the change of scenery. I also want to apologize for the lack of uploads in the last few months but life really hit me. Despite all of that, I have this incredible gift of music and I can always sing, something I am endlessly grateful for.
I want to thank everyone who watches my videos, listens and purchases my music. I especially want to thank the amazing comments many of you have left with words of encouragement, I dont plan on stopping music I plan on creating more than ever. Thanks for your support and please stay tuned in 2019!!!
Sing Lyrics:
She lived in a world of black and white
but she was colours, never felt quite right
She filled the void with boys and booze
She learned the hard way how to loose
But she could sing
All day everyday
She could sing
It made more sense than anything
Her heart was aching so she wrote it down
Turned all that heartbreak into a song
Her focus turned on to something good
She shared the music and felt understood
cuz she could sing
Even in the deepest pain
She could sing
It made more sense than anything
Oh attention is a powerful force
Oh imagine giving that to yourself
She heard her song on the radio
Nothing had felt quite like that before
So she stopped relying on boys and booze
She learned in life you get to choose
and so she sang
Made it a part of everything
And she sang
It made more sense than anything
It made more sense than anything
She chose to let her heart sing Sing- Kayla Williams [original song]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/whnn0-c4wGI/mqdefault.jpg)
