MERRY CHRISTMAS 2021!! This is a MIDI transcribed from the Player Piano medley "Christmas Jingles," (#2977 in the QRS roll catalog) as played by Osoborne & Howe. I am unsure about the name of every song featured in this medley, so if any of you guys know the song names then I'd love to hear what they are in the comments!
Quantizing this roll was incredibly tedious and annoying but I'm happy with the final results. The amount of unique piano technique used in this arrangement is stunning as well; my favorite moment is undoubtedly the replication of sleigh bells at 1:13... such a genius use of the piano's capability.
As paper rolls degrade over time, I made this MIDI in an effort to preserve the roll's contents; this is a quantized version of the arrangement, and has been written out in MIDI form by watching and listening to the original roll play. Such a process takes hours of work, so I hope you enjoy listening!
